Every Sunday is a mini-festival at all Hare Krishna temples and gatherings worldwide. With delicious multi-course vegetarian meals, music and spiritual discussion (and occasionally, dance and drama), guests can experience the world of bhakti, devotion to Krishna.
Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement, started the “Sunday Love Feast” in 1966. He would personally invite guests, chant with them, present the teachings of Bhagavad-Gita, cook for them and feed them. Since then, a similar program has been continued in all the Hare Krishna temples around the world to this date.
